WEConnect International and UEL's Centre of Excellence for Women's Entrepreneurship would like to invite you to our morning event celebrating International Women's Day.

The International Challenge: Growing Your Business Globally is taking place on Tuesday 5th March 2013 from 8.30am to 12pm and is kindly being hosted for us by the Royal Bank of Scotland at their offices at 250 Bishopsgate, London, EC2M 4RB.

The event is free to attend but all participants must register in advance - places are limited and being offered on a 'first come, first served basis'. The event's content is aimed at women business owners and if you know anyone else who might be interested in attending, please forward share these details with them.

I hope that you would like to join us in the run up to International Women's Day to celebrate and promote the growth of women-led businesses internationally. You will hear from businesses who have successfully gone global and gain practical knowledge and insight into how to expand your own business globally. There will be the opportunity to network with fellow women entrepreneurs and to share your successes and challenges in growing your business.


Our speakers will include:

Deborah Leary OBE, Chief Executive Officer of ClarityIntel and Forensic Pathways

Deborah is the co-Founder and CEO of Forensic Pathways, an international company specialising in the development of innovative software and consultancy in the criminal and business intelligence market. Deborah is a regular international speaker on issues such as entrepreneurship, international trade, optimisation of innovation, personal branding, strategic networking and corporate social responsibility.

Carrie Green, Founder of the Female Entrepreneur Association

Carrie started her first online business, Easy Mobile Unlock, at the age of 20. Within a few years she had taken it global, selling throughout the UK, USA, Canada, Australia and Europe and receiving over 100,000 hits on the website every month. She started the Female Entrepreneur Association (FEA) in February 2011 and there are now 18,000 women involved.

Davor McKinley, Head of Export Documentation Team & Blazej Thomas, International Business Officer, London Chamber of Commerce & Industry

The London Chamber of Commerce & Industry offer a range of advice and expertise helping businesses in London grow globally. They run a regular programme of international trade events, international trade training courses and overseas trade missions.
