UKRC's Annual Conference looks to the future to build good practice today

Join us for a day that will be useful, informative and inspiring:
Tomorrow’s Women, Tomorrow’s World
The science, engineering and technology workforce and workplace, 2030
London, 12 March 2009, 9.30-4.45, followed by drinks and networking

Top speakers will explore the key issues, using future scenarios to identify the strategies we need today. Nicola Brewer, Director, Equality and Human Rights Commission will be joined by professional futurist Dr Wendy Schultz and Professor Sylvia Walby, UNESCO Chair in Gender Research.

In the afternoon sessions you have the chance to focus on specific issues and build visions of the future. Workshop speakers include young eco-entrepeneur Emily Cummins, speakers from industry, research, education and professional bodies and Marie Tiegen, an expert on the Norwegian quota system that ensures women a place in the boardroom. And leading space scientists will launch the UK women’s programme for the International Year of Astronomy, followed by a workshop on women and outer space.

Futuristic displays, helpful information and lots of opportunities to network. A key event for policy makers, employers, SET professionals, human resources experts, diversity managers, academics and many more. Book your place now. We look forward to meeting you on the day.
