Gibbs Hybrid first European WBE to join elite group of WEConnect International corporate members

Gibbs Hybrid has become a corporate member of WEConnect International and is the first European certified women’s business enterprise (WBE) to have a seat on the Europe advisory council of the organisation.

WEConnect International is a non-profit organisation that helps women-owned businesses succeed in global value chains. The organisation’s Europe advisory council includes representatives from several major Gibbs Hybrid clients and partners including Barclays, Bayer, Bristol-Myers Squibb, EY, IBM and Intel, amongst others.

Gibbs Hybrid CEO Farida Gibbs noted:

“As our footprint expands – we are now in the UK, Ireland, Poland and Luxembourg as well as the USA – we are delighted with this opportunity to make a greater impact across Europe and encourage supplier diversity within larger corporations. I am personally passionate about improving the access of woman-owned and minority-owned businesses like ours to supply corporate supply chains. WEConnect International is doing great work encouraging the diversity of procurement practices and I’m honoured to be able to support them.”

Maggie Berry, Executive Director for WEConnect International in Europe, commented:

“We’re excited to have Gibbs Hybrid joining as a corporate member in this region. It shows the growth of Gibbs Hybrid over the last few years and demonstrates their commitment to supplier diversity and increasing opportunities for women-owned businesses in corporate supply chains. We will look forward to working with them alongside our other corporate members and helping them all to buy more products and services from women-owned businesses in Europe.”
