Refreshed Scottish Framework and Action Plan for Women in Enterprise

Women's Enterprise Scotland.jpg

The Scottish Framework and Action Plan for Women in Enterprise was originally launched on 04 March 2014 and was the first of its kind in Europe. The actions contained in this refreshed Action Framework are grouped in four themes of; Mentoring & Networking, Role-Model Project, Finance and Gender Specific Support. This will be led by key partners from all sectors to identify priority areas of action and how best these actions can be collaboratively supported.

Following the 2012 Women’s Employment Summit, the Scottish Government facilitated workshops, chaired by Professor Sara Carter of Strathclyde University and Jackie Brierton of Women’s Enterprise Scotland. This developed the Women in Enterprise Action Framework, launched 4 March 2014.

The document has been refreshed to reflect the emerging post Enterprise and Skills Review support landscape. The draft has been co-developed with and is fully supported by all public and private sector partners.

Thanks to everyone who participated in this research and had their say on the business support needs of women-led businesses in Scotland. To download your copy of the Framework, click here
